  This place is golden. Dr. Coffman and staff are wonderful! Dr. Overton still comes in from time to time and it is still fabulous to see him. They have 1980’s pricing and do not push expensive tests or medicines not needed. They truly try to help your pet while not breaking the bank.

  I would highly recommend the Allen Veterinary Hospital. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: Amazing staff: Kind and considerate Experience: They know their stuff They take good care of the animals there Their rooms (excluding the waiting room) are neat and organized They create a quiet environment for your pet Prices are decent Cons: The waiting room could use a little work. Maybe a good cleaning and nicer chairs The wait for your appointment can take some time I had brought my gerbil there because she was gaining weight. The vet immediately knew what was wrong (even though he didn't have a special degree in gerbils). He gave us several options and was very considerate and honest. She was well taken care of and I noticed they took care to gently handle your pet, especially rodents, who are very delicate. Prices are amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

  There is nothing positive to say. Every time I took my dog here it was filthy and even though I always had an appointment I had a minimum one hour wait. The vets and techs do not wear name tags or introduce themselves so you never know who you are meeting with unless you ask. They never checked my pet's blood pressure or a performed a full health exam. Their focus was on the problem I brought my pet in for, they didn't further explore other aspects of health that might have contributed to the problem. One time I took my dog in with an emergency and we waited so long I asked the desk when will my dog be seen? The girl replied, "we have four euthanasias ahead of you", with an uncaring attitude. I don't take my pet here anymore and have found a wonderful vet. I regret not changing sooner. If I could give zero stars I would.

  Allen Veterinary Hospital is awesome! We were referred to them by multiple animal loving families in our area. They love your animals, offer convenient hours and service, and experienced professional care. They provide compassion and support in the sad times. All at a great value! We are so glad to have found a family vet.
